Monday features activities for ACPA's Emerging Leaders Group, followed by an evening reception for members of the Chapter/State Executive Committee.

11:00 am - 2:00 pm Emerging Leaders Group Service Project–The Client Choice Pantry, Feeding South Florida Join the Emerging Leaders Group as they give back through service to our host community. ELG members will work with Feeding South Florida in their Client Choice Pantry food bank. Currently serving over 100 clients a day, ELG members will help food bank volunteers with restocking pantry items, bagging client selections, and assisting clients to their transportation. Participants should plan to meet in the hotel lobby at 10:30 and ride share to the food bank. Client Choice Pantry is located at 5648 Wiley Street, Hollywood, FL 33023.

Pavement design is often a critical factor in determining which materials are selected for a project, yet concrete pavement designs are not always optimized to deliver the most competitive combination of upfront cost, long-term performance, and life-cycle value.
This session will explore how design optimization can strengthen concrete’s competitive position by balancing structural performance, constructability, initial investment, and long-term costs. Attendees will learn practical approaches for developing optimized concrete pavement designs—and how those designs perform in the real world.
Presenters will also take an in-depth look at the Florida Concrete Test Track and the innovative design approaches being used to optimize pavement performance, sharing how long-term performance data and evaluation of the experimental sections are helping Florida DOT advance its concrete pavement design and construction standards.
